Imtiaz qualified with a top international firm
of accountants and has significant experience
in business advisory services and specialises
in taxation and corporate finance work. During
his career, he has advised extensively on all
aspects of taxation, including tax investigations,
and wills and inheritance tax planning and on
setting up corporate structures. Imtiaz has previously
led growth strategies for outstanding business
start ups, in addition to exit and succession
management and commercial restructuring for a
number of clients. In the course of his work,
Imtiaz has developed excellent strategic alliances

Biography
Ashraf trained and qualified as a Chartered
Accountant with a top ten international firm
of accountants. He heads the assurance and advisory
services department and has a wide portfolio
of corporate clients in various industries including
textiles, manufacturing, distribution, and the
service and professional sectors. He specialises
in a number of regulated areas including Charities
and professional practices. He has significant
experience in ad hoc type work, including preparation
of business plans, plans for profit, due diligence,
investigations, work on acquisitions and business
valuations.

Biography
Saira has surveying and tax qualifications and
has specialised over the last 12 years in capital
allowances and tax planning. During her career,
Saira has worked for a number major accountancy
firms, including Andersen, Deloittes and KPMG.
Saira has led capital allowances teams for major
international organisation accounts such as
Fitness First, the UK’s largest leisure
club group, The Abbey Life Fund and SAS Radisson
Hotels.
Saira has worked with many organisations from
blue chip companies to specialist property focused
investors and developers. She has particular
expertise in property processes and company
asset systems, enabling her to manage high level
acquisitions, new builds and refurbishments.

Manoj, a long standing member of the practice,
specialises in servicing dentists, doctors and
pharmaceutical clients. During his career, he

matters. Manoj also has extensive knowledge of
the various VAT schemes and regularly advises

Biography
Abdul started his career in professional practice,
but has considerable experience in industry,
having worked for a number of successful businesses
in Leicestershire. Abdul qualified as a Chartered
Certified Accountant with Smith Hannah and specilaises
in servicing Solicitors and undertakes work
in other regulated areas. He also services a
number of our larger audit clients and undertakes
due diligence work and other adhoc assignments.

Biography
Mo heads our payroll department which is home
to over 100 payrolls. Mo has built up an enviable
reputation to providing a first class, accurate
and timely payroll service to a broad range of
clients. Mo has a very good knowledge of payroll
matters and advises our clients on all payroll
issues. In the course of his work, Mo has built
up a good relationship with a number of key contacts.
He regularly attends courses and actively keeps
abreast of developments and issues as they arise,
such that our clients receive the most up to date
advice. Mo also provides key support services
to the rest of the team at Smith Hannah.

Biography
Dawn heads our HR and administrative support
department. She also looks after all company
secretarial matters, ensuring that all clients
returns are filed on a timely basis. Dawn is
a long standing member of the team and plays
a pivotal role in ensuring that our clients
receive a first class service at all times and
acts as sounding board for any issues that arise
in the office, ensuring that they are dealt
with promptly and efficiently.
